"THE POSITIVE SIDE OF LIFE"

     "THE POSITIVE SIDE OF LIFE"
Living on Earth is expensive,
but it does include a free trip
around the sun every year.

How long a minute is
depends on what side of the
bathroom door you're on.

Birthdays are good for you;
the more you have,
the longer you live.

Happiness comes through doors you
didn't even know you left open.

Ever notice that the people who are late
are often much jollier
than the people who have to wait for them?

Most of us go to our grave
with our music still inside of us.

If Wal-Mart is lowering prices every day,
how come nothing is free yet?

You may be only one person in the world,
but you may also be the world to one person.

Some mistakes are too much fun
to only make once.

Don't cry because it's over;
smile because it happened.

We could learn a lot from crayons:
some are sharp, some are pretty,
some are dull, some have weird names,
and all are different colors....but
they all exist very nicely in the same box.

A truly happy person is one who
can enjoy the scenery on a detour.

Have an awesome day, and
know that someone
who thinks you're great
has thought about you today!..

"And that person was me.".....

A Day of Baking

I have an unexpected free day today jan 17 the reason the electric company is installing new electric post on the street where my clinic is situated and they say its part of the modernization program they promised their consumers ( HAH! what a crap expect lots of repeated brownouts in the following days!)
So i have to make my day productive since i hate doing nothing at all and i don't have any plans going anywhere
might as well make my day productive than just lazing around ( hehehe i'de rather cook than clean my room).
So as you can see i made something for breakfast great with peanut butter. A brown sugar banana bread ( lessen the sugar to 1/3 cup next time i'll make it 1/2cup to sweeten it )
Made 3 loaves good till tomorrows breakfast.
Next was a heart shape chocolate cake for valentine (i know its still too early for valentine but cant resist baking on that heart shape pan i just bought!)
And the last one was a lemon cheesecake still in the fridge so i have not yet taken a pic of it maybe later on and will be posting it here another day.
Well see I have been busy today ( and getting worried coz am sure gonna gain a pound or two with this lots of goodies)

Let It Go For 2007

Let it go for 2007

By T. D. Jakes

There are people who can walk away from you.

And hear me when I tell you this!

When people can walk away from you: let them walk.

I don't want you to try to talk another person into staying with you,

loving you, calling you, caring about you, coming to see you,

staying attached to you.

I mean hang up the phone.

When people can walk away from you let them walk.

Your destiny is never tied to anybody that left.

The Bible said that, They came out from us that it might be made manifest that they were not for us.

For had they been of us, no doubt they would have continued with us. [1 John 2:19]

People leave you because they are not joined to you.

And if they are not joined to you, you can't make them stay.

Let them go.

And it doesn't mean that they are a bad person it just means that their part in the story is over.

And you've got to know when people's part in your story is over so that you don't keep trying to raise the dead.

You've got to know when it's dead. You've got to know when it's over. Let me tell you something.

I've got the gift of good-bye. It's the tenth spiritual gift, I believe in good-bye.

It's not that I'm hateful, it's that I'm faithful, and I know whatever God means for me to have

He'll give it to me.

And if it takes too much sweat I don't need it. Stop begging people to stay.

Let them go!!

If you are holding on to something that doesn't belong to you and was never intended for your life, then you need to

LET IT GO!!!

If you are holding on to past hurts and pains

LET IT GO!!!

If someone can't treat you right, love you back, and see your worth.....

LET IT GO!!! If someone has angered you

LET IT GO!!! If you are holding on to some thoughts of evil and revenge

LET IT GO!!! If you are involved in a wrong relationship or addiction

LET IT GO!!! If you are holding on to a job that no longer meets your needs or talents

LET IT GO!!! If you have a bad attitude

LET IT GO!!! If you keep judging others to make yourself feel better

LET IT GO!!! If you're stuck in the past and God is trying to take you to a new level in Him

LET IT GO!!! If you are struggling with the healing of a broken relationship

LET IT GO!!! If you keep trying to help someone who won't even try to help themselves

LET IT GO!!! If you're feeling depressed and stressed

LET IT GO!!! If there is a particular situation that you are so used to handling yourself and God is saying "take your hands off of it," then you need to......

LET IT GO!!! Let the past be the past. Forget the former things.

GOD is doing a new thing for 2007!!!

LET IT GO!!! Get Right or Get Left think about it, and then

LET IT GO!!! "The Battle is the Lord's!"

Quote of the Day

Destiny is not a matter of chance, it is a matter of choice; it is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved.

A Heartfelt Thanks to you GOD

DEAR GOD:
I want to thank You for what you have already done.
I am not going to wait until I see results or receive rewards; I am
thanking you right now.
I am not going to wait until I feel better or things look better; I
am
thanking you right now.
I am not going to wait until people say they are sorry or until they
stop
talking about me; I am thanking you right now.
I am not going to wait until the pain in my body disappears; I am
thanking you right now.
I am not going to wait until my financial situation improves; I am
going
to thank you right now.
I am not going to wait until the children are asleep and the house is
quiet; I am going to thank you right now. I am not going to wait
until I
get promoted at work or until I get the job; I am going to thank you
right now.
I am not going to wait until I understand every experience in my life
that has caused me pain or grief; I am thanking you right now.
I am not going to wait until the journey gets easier or the
challenges
are removed; I am thanking you right now.
I am thanking you because I am alive. I am thanking you because I
made it
through the day's difficulties. I am thanking you because I have
walked
around the obstacles.
I am thanking you because I have the ability and the opportunity to
do
more and do
better.

I'm thanking You because FATHER, YOU haven't given up on me.

God is just so good, and he's good all the time.

Funny Joke

After all the calamities and tragedies that beset my beloved country a joke or two is a nice breather to read on
so here's one i got from a friend thru email

An older lady gets pulled over for speeding...
> Older Woman: Is there a problem, Officer?
> Officer: Ma'am, you were speeding.
> Older Woman: Oh, I see.
> Officer: Can I see your license please?
> Older Woman: I'd give it to you but I don't have one.
> Officer: Don't have one?
> Older Woman: Lost it, 4 years ago for drunk driving.
> Officer: I see...Can I see your vehicle registration papers please.
> Older Woman: I can't do that.
> Officer: Why not?
> Older Woman: I stole this car.
> Officer: Stole it?
> Older Woman: Yes, and I killed and hacked up the owner.
> Officer: You what?
> Older Woman: His body parts are in plastic bags in the trunk if you
> want to see
> The Officer looks at the woman and slowly backs away to his car and
> calls for back up. Within minutes 5 police cars circle the car. A
> senior officer slowly approaches the car, clasping his half drawn
> gun. Officer 2: Ma'am, could you step out of your vehicle please!
The
> woman steps out of her vehicle.
> Older woman: Is there a problem sir?
> Officer 2: One of my officers told me that you have stolen this car
> and murdered the owner.
> Older Woman: Murdered the owner?
> Officer 2: Yes, could you please open the trunk of your car, please.
> The woman opens the trunk, revealing nothing but an empty trunk.
> Officer 2: Is this your car, ma'am?
> Older Woman: Yes, here are the registration papers. The officer is
> quite stunned.
> Officer 2: One of my officers claims that you do not have a driving
> license. The woman digs into her handbag and pulls out a clutch
purse
> and hands it to the officer.
> The officer examines the license. He looks quite puzzled.
> Officer 2: Thank you ma'am, one of my officers told me you didn't
have
> a license, that you stole this car, and that you murdered and hacked
> up the owner.
> Older Woman: Bet the liar told you I was speeding, too.

Favorite Song

Am getting sentimental .... doing nothing here at the office so just listening to my favorite songs and playing luxor .....am on my stage 11 going to finish this stage this week i promise to myself hehehe

So am listening to this music by Rupert Holmes Touch And GO
(here are the lyrics )

TOUCH AND GO
Rupert Holmes

Nobody said that
Life is always fair
Sometimes it clips your wings
While you're in mid-air
But there's a thread
Between your life and mine
And when you're losin' hope
This rope won't unwind

REFRAIN:
Hold on tight
'Cause life is touch and go
It's sink and swim
But never doubt
If you're out on a limb
I'll get the call
To break your fall
I'll never leave you
Even when life
Is touch and go
Or hit and run
We'll never break
If we take it as one
I'm here to stay,
I pray you know
I'll never touch
I'll never touch and go

Someday you'll find
There's nothin' in the night
That wasn't there before
You turned out the light
Straight from your mind
The monster 'neath your bed
The voices in the hall
They're all in your head

REFRAIN:
Hold on tight
'Cause life is touch and go
It's sink and swim
But never doubt
If you're out on a limb
I'll get the call
To break your fall
I'll never leave you
Even when life
Is touch and go
Or hit and run
We'll never break
If we take it as one
I'm here to stay,
I pray you know
I'll never touch
I'll never touch and go

When you feel lost
You're only spun around
Tumbled and tossed

But never run around

Life is a town ful
l Of strangers at best

I'll help you home

God help the rest

REFRAIN:

Hold on tight' Cause life is

touch and go

It's sink and swim

But never doubt

If you're out on a limb

I'll get the call

To break your fall

I'll never leave you

Even when life

Is touch and go

Or hit and run

We'll never break

If we take it as one

I'm here to stay,
I pray you know

I'll never touch

I'll never touch and go

Life is touch and go

It's sink or swim

But never doubt

f you're out on a limb

I'll get the call...

This is a nice read about love

Received this on my email

Loving Someone from a distance....

Sometimes, in our relentless efforts to find the person we love we fail to recognize and appreciate the people who love us. We miss out on so many beautiful things and simply because we allow ourselves to been slaved by our own selfish concerns.

Go for the man of deeds and not for the man of words for you will find rewarding happiness not with the man you love but the man who loves you more. The best lovers are those who are capable of loving from a distance, far enough to allow the other person to grow, but never too far to feel the love deep within your being.

To let go of someone doesn't mean you have to stop loving, it only means that you allow that person to find his own happiness without expecting him to come back. Letting go is not just setting the other person free, but it is also setting yourself free from all bitterness, hatred, and anger that keep in your heart.

Do not let the bitterness rare away your strength and weaken your faith, and never allow pain to dishearten you, but rather let you grow with wisdom in bearing it. You may found peace in just loving someone from a distance not expecting anything in return. But be careful, for this can sustain life but can never give enough room for us to grow.

We can all survive with just beautiful memories of the past but real peace and happiness come only with open acceptance of what reality is today. There comes a time in our lives when we chance upon someone so nice and beautiful and we just find ourselves getting so intensely attracted to that person. This feeling soon become a part of our everyday lives and eventually consumes our thoughts and actions. The sad part of it is when we begin to realize that this person feels nothing more for us than just a friendship. We start our desperate attempt to get noticed and be closer but in the end our efforts are still unrewarded and we end up being sorry for ourselves.

You don't have to forget someone you love. What you need to learn is how to accept the verdict of reality without being bitter or sorry for yourself. Believe me, you would be better off giving that dedication and love to someone more deserving. Don't let your heart run your life, be sensible and let your mind speaks for itself. Listen not only to your feelings but to reason as well. Always remember that if you lose someone today, it means that someone better is coming tomorrow: If you lose love that doesn't mean that you failed in love. Cry, if you have to, but make it sure that the tears wash away the hurt and the bitterness that the past has left with you.

Let go of yesterday and love will find its way back to you. And when it
does, pray that it may be the love that will stay and last a lifetime.

Quotations

I've been collecting quotations so i might as well put it here. These are the one i like best.

The grand essentials to happiness in this life are something to do, something to love and something to hope for.

Joseph Addison (1672 - 1719), English Writer and Statesman

What you do speaks so loudly that I cannot hear what you say.
Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803 - 1882), American Poet and Essayist

"It is never too late to be what you might have been."
George Eliot (1819 - 1880), English Novelist

"I am only one; but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something; I will not refuse to do the something I can do."

My first Blog

Been reading a lot of blogs that made me think of making a blog myself and behold hehehehe am having a hard time conceptualizing what i would put in it so the title Sari Sari at Iba pa. Not too original I know but i have this idea to put everything here from my thoughts to all things I may observe from other people, place or events.
Now let see since this is my first entry to this hopefully will last as long as I am blog (hehehehe ...kinda OA effect) do i have to be melodramatic or grandiose. Nah not my style i prefer being simple and direct but alas in life usually its not that simple and uncomplicated.
My favorite song of all time is Touch and Go by Rupert Holmes to me it describe how life is and those lucky ones that have someone with them to be by their side through thick or thin. Yeah, yeah am still single at 42, a professional full time working in a suburbs outside manila. You can say i was too busy with work to pay much attention to my personal life . A late bloomer in so many ways come to think of it...
So now that I started this blogs i hope to post whatever will be in my thoughts....
